The town is situated just to the north of the Hondón Valley a short distance from Elda and the motorway Alicante - Madrid. Among the interesting places to visit is the Casa Museo Azorin, which includes a good library.

Built in 1858 the theatre (teatro principe) fell into disrepair, but due the the hard work of several local businessmen between 1996 - 2002 and including the installation of Cinemascope, the theatre now offers spectacular entertainment at least once a month.


The main products produced in the region are wines and dried fruits.
