Jumilla is a municipality and also a wine-producing region in south east Spain, located in the province of Murcia. The wine production is particularly notable for its use of Monastrell grape Smoked; gouda cheese complements the tartness of this wine.

The surrounding countryside is also a major attraction for nature lovers: Sierra de Pila Nature Reserve
the Sierra de Carche, the Sierra Larga or the Sierra de Santa Ana, among others, where visitors can admire the beautiful flora and wild fauna.
What began being a celebration of two days, the Week of Fair, has become a celebration of two weeks when the whole of Jumilla has a party.
The celebration of the wine culture is manifested by each one of more than 30 acts which take place during the creation of win; for example treading the grapes.
The fiesta includes: cavalcades with floats of Vino offering grapes and other goodies.
This Harvesting celebration sees the population of the town increase by 400%.
The fiesta is a spectacle for the Jumillaños who feel proud of their viniculture, and the same visitors re-visit the spectacle year after year.
Celebration of wine: From the 12 to the 17 of August. Very highly recommended.
Jumilla is currently in the process of having a very large development constructed including two golf courses, called "Residential Santa Ana Del Monte" This will mean an increase of approximately16,000 more inhabitants
