Two towns close together near the Sierra de Espuña
Mula
has a population of 13,600 inhabitants and has an area of 634 square kilometres you can get to the town from the Mediterranean motorway E15/A7 or by taking the C 415 from Alcantarilla.
The town has many historical buildings, monuments and of course the famous "Baños" where you can bathe in the curative water at body temperature.

A natural place in the head-waters in the “Mula” river the transparent healthy waters are ideal for bathing. From here we start the ascension towards the “Aceniche” and the vineyards situated at the highest altitude from 700 to 1000 metres. Baños del Murcia

In the heart of the Region of Murcia, Pliego offers a calm stay and attractive landscapes. It is characterized by a rough territory in its Eastern part with deep precipices, whereas in its western part the plains abound.
Surroundings
Pliego includes in its territory ample forest spaces in the northern slopes of the Natural Park of Sierra de Espuña Mountain. Other places of impressive interest exist such as the caves and the dam of Pliego River.
Among its numerous archaeological deposits, it can be emphasized the Almoloya, of Argaric origin and the medieval setting of the Precipice of La Mota.
As crafts-workings, the work of esparto, typical of the region, is emphasized.
Festivals
The Carnival is celebrated with parades and clubs, Easter, San Marcos on April, 25th , day in which is typical "ir de monas" to the field, San Isidro on May, 15th and, in September, the local Festival in honour to the Virgin of the Remedies.
